"hidden" SSID

Greetings tech,

long story short - I need to find the SSID of this "hidden" network, since I'll be in some sort of institution for a year, and they don't have any form of internet there. However, there is this wireless network around which shows up as "Other Network". I'll be able to crack the network, as long as I have the SSID.

Commview for Wifi doesn't work for my laptop since my network card is incompatible. Any help, please?

Been there, done that - followed the exact same link, however, didn't work for me, as I'm a noob and can't get anything to work. I fail at Aircrack, Ettercap doesn't work for me and obviously Kismet isn't compatible with Windows 7..
