Hello. How should I learn to program? Which paths should I take into programming? Please could you also list some resources to learn from?

You can try going from C to C++ and then again. Mostly all programming languages look a like. Like Java is similar to c++ PHP is web based and it looks similar to c++ just some writing techiques are different like calls n stuff.

Sorry for repost, but try youtube-ing the language you like to learn etc. If you have problems with code, google it or go to stackoverflow. Take notes if you want, you might grasp the language better. And play with it, don't just read/watch. Also check out books from library if needed.. Good luck!

They may have visual similarities but that's all they have. The semantics are different.

No, stop it. Don't even say that, don't even think it... :D
but seriously, I did this a few years ago (had no programming experience, wanted to learn, and slowly learned how to do stuff) start with AppleScript if u have a mac... and once u get the hang of AppleScript, do some java... other more complicated stuff u can save for later (like PHP, who the hell would suggest a thing like that? PHP is so hard, and even if u became great at PHP it would be useless without knowing other stuff (like HTML...))
but yeah, the AppleScript is just to learn some very basic ideas about programming, then move on to java (which is similar to C/C++, but a little easier to learn and the concepts are better illustrated by the language) After that, take it in school :D
