Sims 3 Hates Me

So yesterday morning I recieved a legit Sims 3. Pretty siked to play it for the first time in a year, i pop that bad boy in my DVD drive and prepare for a 2 hour install.

Here I am, 1 1/2 days later, still no Sims 3.
Apparently the second installation package corrupted on me and gave me a pretty little Cyclic Redundency Check error.

I've been trying now for the majority of my free time... which i have a lot of free time... to recover ~5000 sections that seems to be corrupted.

Anyone have any suggestions?
No toothpaste/Brillo/mild abrasives. If trying to recover it fails, then i'll take it to a disk cleaner.

I'm looking for freeware recovery tools. Everything i've tried ends up freezing on me.

This isn't a Pc-related issue, as i've recieved the same error on a different PC.
