Sup /tech/, I have a small problem. Yesterday I found this command on the interwebz that claimed would help with performance in os x lion (Lion is a steaming pile of shit, vista of macs). Anyway here is the command I entered

sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext/ /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.disable

Ever since I used this command my battery life has gone down 2 hours, and my macbook pro runs hotter. Any idea how to reverse this command?

Also inb4 troll mac haters.

The command obviously looks like has messed with your system files. easiest thing to do would be to re-install Lion using your recovery partition. command+R at boot. a re-install will not erase your data!

i work on macs daily, still dont like them.

what you did was rename the file thats controls your video card. This will fix it.

sudo mv /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.disable /System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext/
