Problems with a new mobo/processor

Name: Anonymous 2010-12-27 23:38

Greetings /g/ents

I purchased a 785GT-E63 mobo and a Phenom II x4 processor and finally got everything physically installed. Bios is beeping though, and windows needs startup repair... except startup repair isn't actually finishing >:[! I've already fudged with the ram to see if that was the problem but alas, it did nothing!

Has anyone encountered problems like this? I could really use some help ._____."

The specifications for that mobo claim it does not support DDR3 RAM,  is that what you are using?
When you assembled your computer,  did you do it step by step,  or just do a complete build before testing the individual parts?
Mobo and PSU,  then Mobo PSU and RAM,  etc, etc.?
Are you even getting past post?  Did you just replace your mobo and processor and think you could simply boot back into Windows?

I would recommend,  if your parts are indeed compatible,  to reinstall Windows.  Windows is directly tied to your unique machine configuration.
