Hypothetical situation

Name: Anonymous 2010-12-06 12:05

I'm in an area with two wireless routers that have the exact same name, for argument's sake, we'll say the name they're both using is "HOME1".  I'm running Windows 7.  This brings up three questions:

1) Will Windows automatically name them "HOME1 1" and "HOME1 2" respectively?

2) If so, what does it mean if I can only see "HOME1 2" in the list of available networks?

3) If possible, how do I pinpoint the physical location of "HOME1 1" using my wireless laptop?

1. Maybe

2. Home1 1 was disconnected, maybe?

3. Walk around

I use Linux :/

In my experience they stay the same name. When you select one it choose one of them which one you get is a mystery
