I apologize in advance for using this board as tech support,
Basically, my sister's XP computer is broken and she didn't have to original recovery disc. So I torrented one, and ran the windows recovery console. I basically followed the instructions here : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315311/en-us
except, at expand d:\i386\isapnp.sy_ c:\windows\system32\drivers I got that the specified file didn't exist (I'll get the actual error message in a minute.) I guess I fucked up, as I renamed the isapnp.sys file to isapnp.old and then ran chkdsk.
Any tips/suggestions? I've been googling a lot, and can't find anything that helps.
