Image Trouble

Hey /tech/, I have a problem.

I'm on FireFox, and when I try to right-click and "Save Image As," the window for the images doesn't come up. Nothing happens. This also happens when I try to upload an image to any site (including 4chan, hence why I can't post this on an imageboard). This happens with all folders, not just images.

unfortunately this is all I found...
It is basically testing if it works in safemode and if yes it is an extension (dunno if it works because this refers to FF only)

If it does not help I would try to use the Windows recovery console (boot from you XP-Installation CD go to the Recovery Console and type chkdsk -p -r that tries to find broken sectors and stuff and tries to fix those).
Sorry that is all I can come up with in that case :(

that actually could take some time so be patient (2h+ if u are unlucky)
