why is /g/ so awful?

One way that we can fix /g/ is to stop all the trolling by actually reporting the fuckers, but we know that's fucking impossible.

Point being, we need to focus on just a few (mostly obvious) of the problems on /g/ at one time.

install gentoo
techloligy
flac threads
os threads

I remember one day mods went on a weaboo banning spree and the board was actually good for a bit. Once they stop mercilessly banning them, it turned to shit again.
