HD pocket cam

I am currently looking for a HD pocket camera while researching I found the kodak i6, flip hd mino and the creative vado hd. After seeing a few reviews I decided to go with the vado hd but the price in Australia is AU$335. After doing some further research I stumbled across the sony DSC-T500 which is a camera but also has a decent HD video camera for around AU$400

Is it worth paying the extra money for the sony or are there any other cheap HD pocket cams in this area?

My budget is AU$350 but am willing to strench to AU$400 but the main objective is to have a pocket HD video camera.
