Having problems recognizing my hard drive, BIOS detects, but windows doesn't pick it up, neither does linux or mac. maybe bad blocks? also, how do i fix this?

you need to reset your hard drive by applying a large magnet to it
i have not a large magnet, nor the need to destroy my 500gb hard drive. is there someway to bypass bad blocks, S.M.A.R.T. status is okay on the drive...
