Windows Install Full of Fail

Name: Anonymous 2008-09-18 19:31

So I've got a new hard drive, which I was able to install 32-bit XP on with no problem. My plan is to dual-boot with 64-bit XP (as I have 8 gigs of memory and a 64-bit processor), but it's not working.

When I try to install x64 it does the usual thing where it loads up drivers and controllers, but then when it says it's starting windows it reboots my machine before getting to the actual installation.

Anyone seen this before?

Just back up your shit and install the 64-bit version. 32-bit xp is not going to recognize the additional RAM, nor does it have any benefits over the 64-bit version.

64-bit OS's support 32-bit applications.
