Help with mp3 conversion

Name: Anonymous 2008-02-16 8:05

I badly need your help. I just got myself an old mp3-player (Thomson Lyra PDP2860), which only plays 128kps mp3's (yeah, yeah - abhorrent quality and all that.)

But here's my problem; How do I convert my 192-320kps mp3 files to suite the players demands? I've tried using dp Poweramp Music Converter and using 128kps and CBR as the settings, but it's still a no go... (I know I will lose quality with this method, but as I mentioned that's not an issue.)

lame.

If you want a GUI for it, google it. There are lots and lots of them.

Lame is easy as fuck to use without a GUI. People need to stop masturbating over buttons and pissing themselves over command lines.

Yeah, sure. Why not send our media files to the RIAA and ask them to convert for us?

Google CDex.  It's an open source program that lets you re-encode mp3 files.
