Vista problems

I got a new laptop last month and so far it works fine, except for when I'm on the internet. The longer I'm online the less I can do. I start up and I can have multiple windows up, access any and all links and search windows and have right click options. And it doesn't just affect my internet explorer. I can't open any folders or open any programs.

I've been online for a couple of hours and I can only have one window up, I can't access my favorites or my history. I can't use the search engine in my toolbar and nothing pops up when I right click on anything. I also can't access anything in my hard drive.

I'm thinking that this problem has something to do with Vista considering I've never had problems like this before dealing with this OS. Any ideas?

Get a new laptop. You're just going to waste more money trying to fix it than on another one. Last time I used a laptop, it wasn't FUBAR.

Op here. Any real ideas? I'm not made of cash, and I'm not just going to chuck a brand new laptop.
