dvd's to cdr

I have a movie on my comp that is 800meg.  Is there any program i could use to shrink it down so i can watch it on my dvd player rather than my pc?  I dont have a dvd burner so it will have to be on a cdr.

Any help would be appreciated.

you can burn 800 megs on a cd-r easy.

find an svcd program that supports overburninig(most do, don't they?)

spoilers: cd-r's can hold 1.2gbs of data, most of which gets used by error protection and the like.

No, no, no. One cd has 700 megs. You should split the movie, write on part on the cd, then turn the cd over and write on the other side of the cd.
Make sure you don't write anything with a pen on the cd, at least not after you burn it.
