Firefox stopped scrolling properly

Hello. As of last night, I noticed that when I scroll down a page, using either the scroll bar or the mouse wheel, the page scrolls down in 'chunks'. That is to say, it doesn't move down smoothly like normal, but it scrolls down in rectangles, loading each part right after the other. I really don't have another way to explain it. It's almost as if the scrolling action is 'lagging' behind.

I went to Tools -> Options -> Advanced and played around with the browsing options there, but the problem wasn't fixed. I also reinstalled firefox and restarted my computer twice. I don't know what the problem is, and it's very annoying! Thank you.
