Ethernet Patch/Crossover cable splicing?

Name: Anonymous 2007-09-28 16:56 ID:l+qJX6f8

Hey, I didn't want to shit up /g/ with this. I have an old length of cat5 patch cable kicking around I'd like to make into a crossover cable but I don't have any RJ45 or crimpers, and I don't feel like paying :10bux: for a cable I'm going to only use once.
So I've been googling it, and I've found lots of guides but only for crimping your own cables. So if someone could clue me in on exactly crossing the two pairs would look if your just splicing them, that would be great.
