Is there a homebrew app for the nintendo DS that lets you collect packets that you can use to crack WEP keys? I noticed that in the DS2Key program there was a rough packet capture function, but nothing that was practical, and it seems like a really good idea. Thanks in advance

I see! Thank you! And where exactly can I find aircrack-ng for the NDS?

The thing is you still need to have a rather powerful CPU to be able to crack the key. That is unless you can inject packets so you can gather so many packets that you need less processing time.
I highly doubt you can do that with the DS so you'd better just get a laptop with a wireless adapter that can do injection. That way you can crack a network in 15 minutes or even less and don't need to wait for traffic to accumulate.
Look into BackTrack, it comes with everything you need.

I understand what you're saying about injecting, but even being able to passively collect packets would be helpful.
It seems to me (I could be wrong) that the CPU is only needed for processing the packets and not for knowing what to inject / injecting / collecting them. Maybe the DS doesn't have good enough wireless that it can inject and monitor the traffic at the same time? If that's the case, I guess injection is hopeless.
In DS2Key, it's definitely capable of collecting packets of some sort. If that is good enough at collecting packets, and there were something like that which output the results to a file, I'd be satisfied (even though I couldn't inject, I mean). Even if it takes a day, it would be cool to have around.

aircrack-ng can do that. Or any of the aircrack variants really. You just need to find one that has been ported to DS. Good luck.

aircrack-ptw works great on the nds, doesn't require very many packets, or a very powerful cpu. wep only. it's avaliable somewhere.. dsscene maybe.
