I switched from winamp about 2 months ago. Since then I can't get foobar to minimize to tray even when the option is ticked, every song lags for about 5 seconds somewhere in the middle, and google hasn't helped much.
I'm not saying I'm great with google but I've kept digging for answers. Has anyone else had similar problems?
My music is stored on a USB HD connected via USB 1.1 with windows set to optimize the drive for performance rather than quick disconnect. Everytime the music skips I see the drive suddenly start working harder than it had previously. There is nothing else using the drive, and I've never had any trouble like this with Winamp unless I was torrenting to the same drive.
I've tried setting the process priority of foobar to high, and I've tried setting the buffer length to 2000ms also 500ms. Neither have helped.
