my new box

ok /tech, im considering buying a new computer, wont go into the details but the main thing is Athlon dual core 64bit. I was planning on running it on OpenSuSe64 and emulating a win2k machine using vmtools. my question is as follows: has anyone tried this config and how was the performance of the virtual machine? id like to think emulating a 32bit os would leave the remaining cpu adequate to run the background os. opinions?

It is fine if you're not doing anything more intensive than a game of quake 1.
