Why are so many linux advocates obnoxious as fuck? I have nothing against linux / open soutce software, but it seems like if you ever make any criticism of their OS they tend to go all "M$ fanboy" at you, or make ridiculous ad hominem attacks when they get riled up.

Why? If you are a linux fag, why do you do this? If you don't do this and are a linux fag, why do you think others do it?

Y'know, it IS fairly disturbing how the linuxheads go all "rm -rf" on your ass when you criticize Linux.  As a half-LinFag (sucking equally on the turgid penii of Linus and Bill) I really can't explain it except to suggest that since Linux is often under attacks both overt and sublime, the full LinFags automatically assume they're under attack from a fully licensed-to-penetrate MSFag.  Anyone under constant attack is apt to be a wee bit testy.

That doesn't excuse them, of course.
