Why are so many linux advocates obnoxious as fuck? I have nothing against linux / open soutce software, but it seems like if you ever make any criticism of their OS they tend to go all "M$ fanboy" at you, or make ridiculous ad hominem attacks when they get riled up.

Why? If you are a linux fag, why do you do this? If you don't do this and are a linux fag, why do you think others do it?

People are obnoxious and do not know how to conduct themselves correctly in a debate. Also, don't forget the fact that anonymous is an ignoramus. The best way to deal with obnoxious people of any sort is to troll them. I do this in real life and always get into fights. :)

BTW, I'm a free software advocate, and not specifically a Linux advocate. I've also studied logic and debate so I have no problem with illogical obnoxious people of any sort. I highly recommend investing a bit of effort into studying logic and debate and you too can be an expert troll.
