Windows Vista

is windows vista so much better that i should restart my laptop with it?

Linus is about being able to controll what your computer does without haveing the stress of haveing to go to illigal hax0r sites and download virus filled tweaker programs.  It's about being able to see what the os is doing and being able to stop it fucking around.

My old XP used to run like a dream, i had all the important programs and had spent ages  tuneing it and shit but more and more programs were getting progressively more sly, hideing bits and pieces here and there or messing with important sys files.  I dont want to have sixty diffrnt forms of copyright protection running, i dont want a million stupid messages telling me to phone tech support or contanct my system admin nor do i need a million stupid animated 'helpers' to slow down every thing i do . 

All i want is a fast and stable platform to run programs from, one that works with my hardware while alowing me a wide range of options for how to use that hardware.  Also the fact that i managed to replace about ten thou worth of pirate software with  equil or better programs for free.  Ok so  maby the Gimp isn't quite photoshop and blender isn't quite 3dMax, not yet but they're close and soon they're gonna  take over.
