I've been using a Lexar LDP-200 for two years now and I couldn't be happier with it. I remember reading that it can address up to 2GB with an SD card, but I'm sure the later models can address more.

It's a tough, minimalist mp3-player that takes one AA battery and lasts about a week with ~1-2 hours of use per day. And I do mean tough, I don't know how many times I've dropped this on the pavement. Something else that is really nice about this device is when you plug it into the computer with its USB cord it's recognized as just a regular flash drive and you don't have to mess around with any proprietary software.

I've used this personally with Windows XP and Linux (automatically recognized in Kubuntu, easily mountable in Gentoo).

The funny thing is I bought this device on an impulse at Walmart for $70.00CDN.

The iaudio D2 has 2GB of flash, and takes SD. You'll probably want to get a job before buying one though. It's like $170.
