Video cables & monitors

I've been searching for a way to connect the video composite cables (the yellow from yellow, red and white) to my computer monitor with a simple adapter and everyone i ask keeps telling me they don't have it or it doesn't exist. They always tell me to buy a special card for my computer when i can't afford it and i know there's a simple adapter out there somewhere. Please help me out.

there is no simple cable converter. you'd need a switch with  multiple inputs but a VGA out, or to get a TV-in or capture card on your PC.
is this for a game console? xbox360 and Dreamcast can support these by themselves if you can get the cable, the PS3 can output HDMI which can be converted to DVI and MAYBE from that to VGA but thats just complicating things.
