DVD+RW quality in DVD players

Name: Anonymous 2006-03-23 11:25

How good is the quality of DVD+RWs when trying to play burnt stuff on it? I used TMPGENC and IFOedit or just Nero 6 to encode the videos on a DVD-RW i had and the quality of the video was choppy and pixelated on most of the DVD players I tested it on.

I know you can change the burn mode on a DVD+R to DVD-ROM and was wondering if you could do the same thing to increase compatability with the DVD players with a DVD+RW (those damn things only seem to come in 5 or 10 packs where I live, I just need ONE!).

BTW which brand is the best? I'm assuming it's not Memorex?

From what I've heard, it's not the brand that makes the difference, it's where the discs were made. Supposedly, there's 3 factorys in the world that produce DVD discs. @ in Thailand, one in Japan. The Japan factory is supperior supposedly.
