I'm with Keane on this one. Jack Warner is an absolute clown. His comments on England's world cup 2018 bid was an absolute disgrace only for him to backtrack on what he said and actually support England's bid.
here is just a bit of what Jack said that day:
"It will be Italy, Spain, or even France who will get the World Cup if it goes to Europe.
Nobody in Europe likes England. England invented the sport but has never made any impact on world football."
One year later and he said this:
"The catalyst of my support for England for the bid for 2018 is because I don't believe any country of England's football pedigree should not have a world cup for almost 50 years.
England, a country that invented the sport and with all the facilities England has, has not hosted a world cup and I think it is wrong."
erm... 1966?? and would see it go to france when they hosted it in 1998?..
Keane is spot on. This is just a man trying to make a name for himself around the world of football. But unfortunately knows nothing about the sport at all.
I'm just glad that Roy said it first as it means more.. if i had met him and said that to him it just wouldn't have had the same impact.
