Now if you actually want to listen to me and I can count myself as a relatively reliable source with having a degree in physiology and 1 year away from masters in neuroscience.

1) Anything that plays with hormones = bad for humans. Not a single drug is safe for health. There are cases for hormonal therapy, but that's only when you have worse outcomes if you don't use the therapy. Like you said, anemia, iron deficiency etc. However, hormonal therapy at age of <20 when the hormonal levels and balance is established the most does indeed lead to severe problems in life, as well as problems in the life of offspring.

Some researches link the high use of Birth Control to higher rates of cognitive diseases/disorders in the offspring such as Autism, Aspergers and various other abnormalities.

Finally, if you are a healthy individual - a BC pill can actually rig your hormonal balance so much that one becomes infertile, which is rather rare in caucaisan females, however quite prelevant amongs Orientals.

Consider yourself warned.
