There's a trend where old crimes are being solved with the advent of DNA evidence to a certaintyof 99% . To what extent can this be exploited? What if the sample had been contaminated or set up ?

How can scientists obtain DNA from hair when hair has no nucleus, and therefore no nuclear DNA?

usually, dna requires a protein that can be analyzed. So, if you spray some chemical that can breakdown the proteins...dna analysis becomes futile...even worse, to the analysts, it appears as though the sample is intact...tests, and ample wastes of time, money, and man-power, prove otherwise.
For blood dna analysis, something like ammonia or bleach can degrade the analysis, but of course, it doesn't mean that a test to spot whether blood IS present won't be effective...in this case...you also need something that degrades the plasma and hemoglobin within the blood so as to make it appear diluted and unsubstantial.
