So what spending a lot of money in an elitist institution and cheating on tests to be awarded a piece of vellum with Latin writing on it qualifies you to do something all the sudden? What a fake society.

Goldman Sachs..

All u need is a PhD from a top 10 school in any hard science, math, economics, etc. and livable people skills..  the former is much easier said than done..

Y'know, every time I hear this "pure" science thing...it reminds me of taking the yolk out of the egg and still calling it egg. :/

hell yeah, chemistry! Who helps make all those new lotions, air-spray, hair spray, oils, gas, cigarettes, paints, inks, perfumes...just go through your house, check out all the chemicals...a chemist is the person that helped make them. Job opportunities...srsly! :3

Take the Jerry Buss route: Chemistry PhD at 24, then become owner of sports franchises.

There's always teaching. Professors can make a decent wage, especially if tenured. Although with your route, you'll be expected to research/publish.

If it was physics, then almost anything that involves maths, especially if you graduated from a good university (or college for Americans), the other two I'm not so sure about, but honestly, there are so many options, my son did a course in physics and now works at a bank, pay's not bad either.
