Light in spacetime

So according to Special Relativity light does not travel through time? Is this correct? It's fucking with my brain.

I have heard this several times, however I don't know if it true or not. But light cones refer to light traveling through time in OUR frame of reference, not that of the light.

The faster an object goes (relative to the speed of light), the faster time passes for it from its own frame of reference. Therefore if you could hitch a ride on the back of a photon, time would be instantaneous for you.
