Evolutionary advantage of pedophilia?

To me, pedophilia doesn't make any sense evolutionarily..

A young girl probably doesn't have the ability to raise a child..

A man would naturally want his offspring to have the best chance of survival and pick to have sex with the girls who have the best ability to ensure that.

A young girl doesn't fit that bill

So why are there so many pedos, evolutionarily speaking?

Being a pedo doesn't have to do very much with evolution i believe. You become a pedo in your childhood, the advantage is the ability to get influenced while you're still a child. I believe you can tell yourself why that would be important, just think about the storys of kids who were raised by wolfs.

Ofcourse there's also the possibility of being a pedo due to a mutation but becoming a pedo due to influence sounds more plausible. Also, we don't know much yet about the gene code and how exactly it works so there's no way to tell.

Sidenote:
Evolution is a big failure because it's not happening in space where the real dangers lie, our only hope is the potential of our brain. Every other animal on this planet is a complete failure no matter how well it's currently fit to its surroundings.

I wish we could copy the process of evolution and translate it for technology, that way we could let super computers simulate googols of years of technological evolution.
