Evolutionary advantage of pedophilia?

To me, pedophilia doesn't make any sense evolutionarily..

A young girl probably doesn't have the ability to raise a child..

A man would naturally want his offspring to have the best chance of survival and pick to have sex with the girls who have the best ability to ensure that.

A young girl doesn't fit that bill

So why are there so many pedos, evolutionarily speaking?

If you understood the basic concepts of natural selection and mutation, you could see that nature favors patterns that replicate themselves effectively and efficiently.  It doesn't matter that you're a special nerdy snowflake who thinks the world is crashing down because the hot girls went with the popular, attractive guys to the junior high dance.  Who's smart now?  Look which people are reproducing while doing nothing but reaping the benefits of the hard work of socially inept assholes like you.

I simply cannot stand the ignorance of people who talk about evolution "moving backwards" because we take care of the disabled and whatnot.  It can't move backwards.  It's just a general pattern that has been observed in nature.  It can fail no more than gravity fails when someone throws a rock up.  The overall pattern is still there, but with nuances that can make it seem to "fail" sometimes.
