Why can our internal organs feel pain? What could a caveman do about kidney stones, or heart pain? Pain is supposed to prevent further injury. But we've only been able to cure internal stuff for 50 years.

this is not a proper answer but we never cure anything, we only prevent something to spread or make it stop bleeding, repair is always done by the body.
