Physics Q&A thread

Name: Anonymous 2009-06-03 19:59

'm having some trouble in Physics, and not from lack of trying. I seek help often, and without making excuses, I find I don't get adequate help from professors/TAs. (Most of the time I get "Oh, that's in Chapter 8") Anyone out there good at Physics? Or know of some good sites that explain things non-metaphorically like my text book does? It is Calculus based which makes it more difficult. My biggest problem is with dot/cross products, and I guess vectors in general.

i would always trust this board over a stormfag in matters related to anything more than HURRR DURRR I CANNA FIND CROSS PRODUCT IT CUZ MY PROFESSOR IS TEHSUX LOOK AT MY PASTY SAGGY TITTIES HURRRR

I love how the fag who apparently has a degree in physics responds that the difference between centripetal force and centrifugal force is only terminology. If you can't learn something so simple as the difference between centripetal force (force in direction of the axis of rotation) and centrifugal force (reactionary force to the former experienced resulting from inertia) then you shouldn't bother wasting your time on physics.
