Misanthropy

Hello everyone,
   Some time ago, I looked around and realised that the world was generally going to fall apart with moar humans, and that my secret mission would be to end the human race.
   Now I realise that I am by no means alone, and most of us have felt that resentment towards "humans". I decided to try and become the thing which would achieve that end, and now that I am there... the idea seems vain (in both senses).

   Is anyone else where I am now? I know I'm not the only one. I thought this might be important.

WTF is the point of saving the world if no one will be around to appreciate it???
I hear this a lot. People say "the world would be so much better with no humans!". So what???
My house would be a cleaner place if absolutely nobody lived in it. But then who would give a fuck if nobody could enjoy it.
Good and bad are subjective with respect to the moral agent contemplating various situations. If the moral agent is nonexistent, good and bad become irrelevant.
It should be obvious we want to find a way to save the world such that we could benefit from it.
