Need basic Chem and Biology E-Books

Name: Anonymous 2009-02-22 6:46

Sup /sci/ Accounting major here. Thinking of changing my major to Evolutionary Biology. Haven't done Chem or Bio in about 3 years and need to know the name of some ebooks which explore the basic fundamentals of both so I can brush up a little.

Thanks.

Go for nanobiology. You'll be able to write your own paychecks.

I agree with >>2, it's best to posture yourself so that you can capitalize on fields that are well-funded and "hot," research-wise.

I'll list a few of the books I've used. I'm an engineering student, so I have only an introductory grasp of these fields.

Chemical Principles, Zumdahl
Organic Chemistry, Paula B. Yurkanis
Inorganic Chemistry, Catherine E. Housecroft
Biochemistry, Campbell & Farrell
Neuroscience, Furves, Augustine, Fitzpatrick
Biomaterials Science, Ratner
