You guys seriously think that 0.999... = 1?

I mean fuck I'm just a history major and even i can see that they are two separate things.

x = 0.999...
10x = 9.999...
10x - x = 9x = 9
x = 1

But x =/= 0.999...
Therefore, by contradiction, 0.999... =/= 1
