questions regarding cancer and mitosis

Name: Anonymous 2008-11-03 15:13

1) Which processes must occur in a cell during interphase before mitosis can take place?

2) Seeing as cancer is caused by uncontrolled mitotic cell division, what factors can increase the chance of uncontrolled cancerous growth?

1) It's in your textbook look it up.

2) Get rid of (mutate) any regulatory gene that you identified in question 1. (p53 tumor suppressor)
