Does anybody mind helping me with this?

1. How many molecules of ketone can be reduced with one molecule of NaBH4? How did you reach that conclusion?

2. Which is more polar; benzophenone or diphenylmethanol? Why is this?

3. Would mass spectrometry be useful in distinguishing benzophenone from diphenylmethanol? Why?

Thanks to anybody that can help me...

If you can't look that up and help yourself, you have no business taking ochem.

1) Four molecules, because one hydride will reduce one ketone to the alcohol

2) Diphenylmethanol, because it can hydrogen bond, and because I looked it up on Wikipedia and that's what it said

3)  Yes, because diphenylmethanol is 2 Daltons heavier
