best app for physics notes?

Name: Anonymous 2008-07-02 18:57

/sci/, I'm looking for a good formula + text + drawing applicaton with plenty of export options. I want to be able to type up physics notes that look decent, and can include formulas, diagrams, graphs, and explanatory text all on a single page.

LaTeX is by far the best formula editor I've found, and not bad on the text either if you use LyX. But LyX seems to malfunction on integrals and limits, and I'm sick of hand-cranking my work in plain-text LaTeX. Also, I want to be able to build diagrams and graph equations in the same document, which is way too complex for this lazy kid in LaTeX.

Also, linuxfag here, so I'm thinking of trying oOoLaTeX, but I need to do some updates first because it failed last time... any recs/suggestions/links to help save me?

LyX works fine with integrals and limits.
