vector space?

Name: Anonymous 2008-05-12 8:29

a,u,w, complex numbers
a' = complex conjugate of a

a(u,w) = (a'u,a'w)

Why is this a vector space?

What's your field, and what are your vectors over it?

Name: Anonymous 2008-05-12 12:41

The field is the complex numbers.
In >>1 I'm defining scalar multiplication.
The two ordered pairs in the brackets are vectors.

Dunno if that's the info you need.

Got it now, no thanks to you niggers.

Name: Anonymous 2008-05-12 18:46

Actually, thanks to us niggers you were able to learn for yourself and are now better off than before, faggot.

Name: Anonymous 2008-05-12 19:10

Indeed. We can't help you unless you tell us exactly how your scalar multiplication and vector addition are defined, but then all you need to do is check the axioms, which is pure bookwork.
