Polyphasic Sleep (2-4 hrs/day by napping)

You basically take 15-30 minute naps every 4-6 hours around the clock.  Optionally, you can also sleep 2-3 hours once a day in addition to the naps.  I've been doing this for a week and feel alert most of the time..  is it healthy to carry this out in the long run?

I seriously doubt it... Anyway, it says right in the wiki:
"However, researchers caution that levels of performance achieved using ultrashort sleep (short naps) to temporarily replace normal sleep, are always well below that achieved when fully rested."

When possible, I like to do it the other way around, and use a 30-40 hour cycle.
