Publishing review papers?

any published scientists here want to share wisdom on how to publish review papers?

Is it possible to publish unsolicited review papers in decent journals (e.g. IF>1) and as a masters student?

What about the faculty member in charge of managing your research?  Can they provide you with any hints?  I just started a new semester of undergrad research on s. cellulosum, but I'm months away from worrying about publishing.  Good luck.
