Why do you think we call them "plugs"?  You're supposed to PLUG up the holes.

Electricities are always leaking out a little bit from the outlets, which is why we end up with static electricity (which ends up all over the carpeting, please note).  Plug those outlets, folks!

If you have especially leaky outlets you may want to place a bucket under them to collect the excess electrons, as they are an important ingredient in energy drinks, cake, electric cars, and atoms.
