just because you're interested in math and science doesn't mean that you're intelligent, but 99% or you feign interest in math and science exactly beacuse you think it projects a brainy image.
of course none of you will ever admit to this.

i have a degree in astronomy and while i was getting it i did notice a surprising lack of enthusiasm for the astual astronomy amongst my peers, but no lack of enthusiasm for the who is smartest competition. it was quite sad to be around so many people who were devoting their lives to work that they didn't really like except for the fact that it projected and "i'm the next einstein" image.
