At a guess, you're confusing the basic question with an unexamined variation of
turd integrity. Volumetically, big shits can seem like smaller ones if the turds are soft and can be more extruded and pinched. Of course, that would tend to lengthen the turd, hence extending the time of extrusion, and possibly countering what I've said by increasing the judgment of the "size of the shit".
