That's a blatant lie.  A claim that talent is unaffected by genetics would not equate to a claim that human genes are entirely equal.

Now, what you could say, which is entirely different, is that given the dissimilarity in many other features of humans due to genetics, it seems reasonable to suggest that genetics play a role in predisposition and certain abilities.
