can someone please solve for vf1:

vf1^2 = vo1^2 - m2/m1*[m1/m2*(vo1 - vf1)]^2 ???

not looking for the root of right hand side, the solution should be

vf1 = (m1 - m2 / m1 + m2)*v01

but I have no idea how

this is for a conservation of linear momentum prob

oh and with regards to this math problem i might mention that ive been trying angrily to solve it for a couple hours. at this point i feel humilated and pathetic already so please someone lend a helping hand and put me out of my misery for the evening(morning)
