You're trying to find the initial speed vertically upwards to travel s=167.64. v may be 0, but we don't know that, all we know is that v >= 0 at s=167.64. Also, you had a=g and then s > 0, when in fact if a > 0 then you need to stipulate that s < 0, since you're working in the downward direction. What you ACTUALLY wanted was a = -g UPWARDS.
